IWC introduced a model series in a more approachable size to its legendary Big Pilot’s collection, which is called IWC replica watches Big Pilot’s Watch 43.
At the digital Watches & Wonders event, the Swiss manufacturer focused on introducing new products to the popular Big Pilot’s collection, whose history reaches back to the large-sized “B-Uhr” aviation watch based on a pocket watch mechanism produced by IWC in the 1940s.
In 2002, IWC introduced an automatic movement to its pilot watch, creating a new-age “B-Uhr” watch model with a size of 46.2 millimeters. This renewed watch collection was henceforth known as “Big Pilot’s Watch” and the size of its three-hand model was established at 46 millimeters.

The new and smaller Big Pilot’s Watch 43 is the answer to the market’s need. According to IWC, many consumers interested in Big Pilot’s models hesitated when making a purchase decision at the rather massive size of 46 millimeters, which led to the design of a smaller model.
Big Pilot’s Watch 43 has successfully kept the dimensions and look of its “big brother”. There are two different color options (black and blue) on the dial with clear numbers, and in addition to the large indices and hands, the readability is facilitated by the anti-reflective sapphire glass on both sides. The watch also withstands rapid changes in air pressure.
The watch is powered by IWC’s manufacture movement 82100, which offers a power reserve of 60 hours. The beautifully finished mechanism can be admired through the sapphire crystal. The screw-locking pull knob of the watch is large, so you can get a good grip on it. The watch is also promised to be 100 meters waterproof. The novelty has a wristband quick-fix mechanism, so the wristband can be changed without tools.
Price and availability
The recommended price of the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch 43 is EUR 9,150 with a leather strap and EUR 10,200 with a steel strap. Deliveries start in May and IWC watches are sold in Finland by Lindroos.
