After (finally) creating a surprise last year, Fake Rolex is going with the back of the spoon this time. For this 2024 edition of Watches & Wonders, the crown brand plays with colors and materials. Milgauss aficionados will be disappointed, but fans of the Genevan house will still have something to eat. Here is the new Rolex vintage!
Rolex GMT-Master II
Even if some – even many – were hoping for “Coke” or “Blueberry”, this new iteration of the Rolex GMT-Master II, reference 126710GRNR, surprises with its two-tone gray and black bezel in the same line as the “Silver & Gold” versions. » unveiled last year. This model retains the dimensions as well as the movement of the collection, with a 40mm case and a choice between Oyster or Jubilee bracelet. Other distinctive yet familiar details, the text “GMT-Master II” as well as the green 24-hour hand are adorned with a touch of green color. Rolex Deepsea
Known for its exceptional diving capabilities, the Rolex Deepsea is now available in a version entirely in yellow gold, referenced 136668LB and losing the name “Sea-Dweller” on the dial. This new model, equipped with a royal blue dial and a Cerachrom bezel in the same color, offers a surprising luxurious touch while incorporating the characteristics of the professional watch already in the Rolex catalog.
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
Rolex enriches its Cosmograph Daytona collection with two new models in 18-carat white gold, adorned with mother-of-pearl dials with counters also in mother-of-pearl but in a contrasting color, then a bezel set with 36 diamonds. One features a white mother-of-pearl dial on an Oysterflex bracelet, while the other features a black mother-of-pearl dial on an Oyster bracelet. These pieces are both equipped with caliber 4131 offering a 72-hour power reserve and measure – unsurprisingly – 40mm in diameter. These are subtle examples of Rolex’s expertise in fusing luxury watchmaking and fine jewelry.
Rolex Day-Date
Rolex enriches its Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 collection with the introduction of a shaded slate dial, a type of finish usually reserved for the Day-Date 36 and presenting an unprecedented transition between clarity and darkness. This model features 18k rose gold Roman numerals and indexes with a 40mm Everose gold Oyster case. Everything is waterproof up to 100 meters and mounted on a matching President bracelet. This novelty is powered by caliber 3255, a movement with a power reserve of around 70 hours unveiled in 2015.
Rolex 1908
One year after the launch of the Rolex 1908 model, a new platinum variant (reference 52506) appeared in the catalog, offering a bolder alternative to this evolution of the Cellini. Maintaining the elegant dimensions of 39mm in diameter and 9.5mm in thickness, this model is distinguished by its icy blue dial, characteristic of Rolex platinum watches, here with a guilloche pattern. The movement that powers it, the 7140 caliber specially designed for the 1908 line, is visible through a sapphire crystal back, highlighting a simple but very careful finish. This movement incorporates the Chronergy escapement and a Syloxi hairspring, guaranteeing exemplary precision. Everything is mounted on a leather strap with a butterfly buckle clasp also in platinum.
Rolex Sky-Dweller
Introduced in 2012, the Rolex Sky-Dweller is one of Rolex’s youngest and most complex collections, combining an annual calendar with an innovative adjustment mechanism via the bezel called “Ring Command”. This year, the Sky-Dweller is available in 18-carat yellow gold then in Everose gold. Powered by the caliber 9002, unveiled in 2024 and equipped with the Chronergy escapement, this watch offers a 72-hour power reserve while always guaranteeing greater precision and reliability. The Jubilee bracelet, known for its comfort, now includes ceramic inserts for more flexibility as well as increased durability.
